Do any of you know if the bellhousing bolt pattern would be the same on the 55-57 cars and a 66 C10 with a 250 I6. I'm hoping to use a trans from one of the cars...three speed manual.

Yes, the pattern is the same.

The trans will bolt up but that year car transmission is about 5" longer than your 66 truck trans. The exception would be OD transmissions which are the same length. You could use the tail housing and mainshaft from your truck with the 57 trans. They have the same internal components.
