need to raise the top hatch of the gate about a 1/4 inch, but theres no adjustment up! anyone else had this problem? bottom lined up perfect. the top alignment is only set by the hinges.

seems the hinges bind the last bit of closing, tried oiling them and loosening them in case of misalignment but still must be forced closed and up the last 1/4 inch. any ideas?????????????
