I need to order some Parking Brake Strut Bar Springs. These are for the Bendix 11" drum brakes on the rear end for a '63 truck. These springs are the small oblong section coil springs that fit against the brake shoe on one side and the E Brake operating bar on the other.

haven't seen these in any of the usual suppliers calalogs. I have looked on the NAPA website which lists lots of these springs, but I haven't been able to tie them back to my brake setup.

What I need is either the original part number, or better still, a NAPA part number as I'll be able to pick some up when I come over to visit the Carlisle and Hershey PA shows later this week.

Thanks for looking, Stuart.

Hy Stuart Giles, the o.e.m. part number is 1312281 = Napa part number UP80744, no price was listed, and it may have to be ordered in, so call ahead. The application is 1958 - 67 1/2 tons, and some 3/4 tons and 4X4s, but the book I'm looking in covers 1958 to 68 light trucks, so the application may indeed be larger, hope that helps.

Thanks very much for that useful information, just what I needed.

Stuart.
