I know the head is the same, I think. I know you can use a 250 cam in the 292 if you don't needed the fuel pump cam. I know the motor mounts are in different places on the 292 then on the 250. what parts inside can be use between the two. Thanks guys

The 292 is 1.75'' taller. The side pushrod covers are 2 piece & 6'' on 292. more later.... All L22 side covers are two-piece. The 194/230/250 covers are obviously shorter. You can use a 194/230/250 cam in a 292 or vice-versa with no problem if you use an electric fuel pump. I didn't mention the block height because I thought it was obvious. | | |
