Just picked up an HEI mini for my '57 235cui from Tom Langdons Stovebolt. Does anyone have ideas for a good mounting location or pics of yours?? Any ideas for a homemade mount?

J.R. in VA | | | | | Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 3 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Nov 2005 Posts: 3 | I made an Aluminum plate that the HEI coil would bolt to and had back space to lift it off the block about 2 inches and mounting holes that matched the original coil mounting holes. It needs to be close enough for the coil wire to reach eh?

I ended up finding an original mount for this coil in a late 80's model S-10. I just cleaned it up, and goning to mount it where the original coil was. Looks pretty decent.
