Hi fellas.
Just picked up an HEI mini for my '57 235cui from Tom Langdons Stovebolt. Does anyone have ideas for a good mounting location or pics of yours?? Any ideas for a homemade mount?
Thanks for your help! J.R. in VA

You can mount a round coil such as a Mallory 29216 in the original location like this.

I used it with Langdon's mini-HEI and it works fine.

I made an Aluminum plate that the HEI coil would bolt to and had back space to lift it off the block about 2 inches and mounting holes that matched the original coil mounting holes. It needs to be close enough for the coil wire to reach eh?

Hey Guys,
I ended up finding an original mount for this coil in a late 80's model S-10. I just cleaned it up, and goning to mount it where the original coil was. Looks pretty decent. I'l post pics as soon as i can onto my photobucket link below for future referance.

Disregard the last statement. It was out of a 1994 BLAZER/JIMMY. The 1980's models dont fit correctly.
