no it's not rare, ptobably quite similar bodies put on all make truck chassis back then - BlueBird supplied conversion bodies, now they make the whole thing I don't think there's been a BlueBird bus body on anything but their own frame in a long time - and now they belong to some other corp, doubt they'd even have any info on your bus body

might try here, might be a similar bodied bus, even some GM

ISO, I'm confused by your use of the term "apache" in relation to your '66 truck/bus. Apache was discontinued from the Chevrolet truck lexicon at the end of the 1961 model year. Does your cowl carry the Apache name? Did BlueBird use that to describe the bus conversion? Not trying to be picky, but this is where we want to clear up confusion on the 60-66 model range.

actually 'Apache' wouldn't apply regardless, that was the designation for the light trucks only, 1/2-1T wink

Well, the guy that mucked up my engine with his robo wrist told me it was an apache series. GM Vintage and Bluebird cannot trace the numbers ex V.I.N Factory etc. They are stumped as well. Soooo I guess the hood is after the 66 apache truck ? Can I just get on with this !!??....lol. Anyways I need a 63 manual with a 66 supplement manual I was told by GM Vintage. Ok,...this is where I drink every drop of booze in the house on the hood of the bus and watch the stars till the crows peck out my eyes in the morning. zzzzzz zzzz zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

yes the 63 manual is the one you want no big deal you can get them and the 66 suplement one also the key one is the 63.What motor is in your bus? Looks shorter than mine and the body is quite different. These went to the bus manufactorer as a cab/chassis and was built on that.Doubt it is a super rare one,but how many are left is the question!
