I have a ‘54 AD into which I have put the rear from a ‘67 Biscayne. The Biscayne had 14x7” wheels with a 4” offset (backspace??) I would like to find a comparable wheel but in a 15” size. Any suggestions?

I also have seen a cross-reference chart for Chevy wheels but the offset is listed as L, M or H. What’s up with that?

You should be able to use any of the older "GM" 15" wheels out there, Camaro, S-10, Vette ect. Most 15x7's are 4 1/4" backspace and 15x8's are 3 3/4". All depends on how they fit in the wheel opening? Call your local GM parts and they can tell you if the letters refer to the backspace/offset.

not sure what you were asking about the L M and H?
but the L M H referes to the offset low medium high

I am having a similar problem the rims on my 65 are 15's with 6 lugs and 3 3/4 back space. want to move up to 17" but closest thing I can find is 4.5 back space and every wheel I find is "U"gly.. I ws told in my case I needed a low offset and that range was 0-12mm. did nto ask about medium or high

If you are looking for aftermarket wheels,get on line and request a catalog from Summit Racing.They have hundreds of wheels and the backspacing is listed in inches.

As I am an Old F*rt.. A racing supplier never crossed my mind.
