hi,

i'm looking for a new head for my '54 235. an 848 head was recomended. what is the difference between the 848 and the 913? and what are the advantages/disadvantages of either?

if this has been covered before i appologize. i could not find the thread.

The 848 sports slightly better compression and a better alloy.

does the increase in compression require the use of higher octain gas to prevent predetonation?

is the 913 more prone to cracking due to the alloy?
