I have called to confirm if I can get it in the GMC version. I was sad to find that it is only available in the Chevy style. I would like to know if the radiator would fit in my GMC. I know the filler neck is different but is anything else. I could probably get a local radiator shop to modify it or posibly do it myself but it could be an expensive mistake. I am having a hard time finding an aluminum radiator to fit that is not expensive. Any thoughts would be very benificial. It seams through my research finding a radiator for my 55.2 Chevy that the GMC is different. I can't say that this is the case for your 51. What you might try is to borrow an old radiator out of a Chev pickup and see if how it fits in the truck. It doesn't matter if it is good or bad as long as there is enough there to set it in place and stick a couple of bolts in to hold it and stand back and look. then place an order or look somewhere else.
Years ago I bought a GMC 1-1/2 ton radiator out of the wrecking yard and used my tanks on it to fit my 48 Chev. that was when you could sometimes still find a good radiator for an old truck.
48 Chevy 3100 going back together with a 292 six and AX15 five speed.
