Is there anybody out there that has been waiting for a Patrick’s 4 speed Saginaw transmission kit for there AD truck? I ordered one about 10 months ago and I am still waiting. I have had dealings with Patrick in the past and they have been first rate with me in the past. This includes the 3:55 rear end kit plus other items for my truck. I bought a Saginaw transmission 10 months ago plus paid for the kit and still no kit. I know they have had problems the tail shaft housing casting and machining issues but when I call for status I get 3 to 4 weeks with every call. They are real nice people and I do not want them mad at me. My three speed transmission needs a rebuild and my truck has been on blocks for 10 months.

Something to think about, some of your parts to the kit might be on back order? Not sure but it could be.

I would call Patrick and speak to him. Ask him what is up with the order. If it is a back order situation, I am sure he would make it right with you. If you want to go another direction ask for a refund. I spoke to him yesterday about engine parts and found him to be a straight shooter and reasonable person to deal with. He made me a great deal on my engine kit.

you don't want them mad at YOU?
they should be mad at themselves for not being proactive toward their problem, vs hanging you up for 10mos with what amounts to a pre-recorded message. i'm guessing that the charge hasn't showed up on you card

I am in the midst of ordering a shifter as well. I spoke with his son, who I have dealt with in the past. They have the kit for an open driveline, but not for a torque tube as he tells me. I have bought many parts with much success from them, I'd give you the same advice and call and speak to them. I am sure they'd refund your money and call you when they come in.

The first time I wrote to Patrick's I expected a letter in return. No. Patrick phoned and just said he wanted to know me and me him. We chatted for a few minutes and I liked him. I have since phoned and spoken to him or his wife and had nothing but very positive vibes. I have no doubt that if you talk to him you will get some satisfaction. He is probably the best Chevy parts guy around.

No disrespect intended, but I do not think it is fair to post up a complaint if you have not contacted and spoken to the vendor and discussed it first. Then if you are getting screwed, post up and let the community know. With the business climate the way it is, most vendors want happy customers who will spend money. Call Patrick!
