This stuf is hard as a rock. I would like to get down to the metal then come back with new pait and under coat in the orginal spots like the factory, but geese thsi stuff is really something

Electric heat gun will help soften the under coating.

I have been able to get some off with engine degreaser in the past if you can get it to where it can soak. Then I use a sharp putty knife to scrape it off.

I agree, heat gun and scraper. WD-40 will get some of it off too, but you'll need lacquer thinner to clean the WD-40 off. Joe

Leave it on. It will help a little with sound and vibration deadening. I coated my under cab and fenders with bedliner.
