Hello Folks,

I finally got my truck painted this past Friday and Saturday. After almost 6 months of getting ready, I got it done. I wanted to thank all the folks that have helped me and stuff on the forum.

I used PPGs Delton DBC and Clear 2021. I almost had a heart attack after they told me the price but I am sticking with the process of using PPG that I had started. Red=$$$$

I am happy with the job. I have some places to touch up as well as some spots I want to cut and buff. So I guess the next steps and questions will be coming about buffing and such. I got some spots where I just could not get the clear to lay down smoothly and then I a couple of runs. It is no big deal, I know how to deal with them.

Thanks so much for the folks here that have helped me with info and advice. God Bless you all and I hope he blesses your home with peace.

I did update my truck website with a couple of pics.

Michael...That looks fantastic! I remember when you first joined the forum.
You have done a great job,and as you say the paint is expensive, but why 'spoil a good ship for a ha'pennies worth of tar!
After all your hard work,it would've been a shame not to give it the finish it deserves.
Are you going to 'ice the cake' with a new windshield too?
I seem to remember you were considering it.....

Good to see you got 'junior' involved too. A possible future 'bolter in the making?

Thanks, All..

I got some peel that I plan to color sand flat. I just need to get time to work with that.

Do any of you guys know how much time I would have before it is too late to re-coat the clear in a couple of spots if needed?

I am getting ready to cut and buff the truck. I am trying to research to see what things I need to get now.
