Hello Folks,

I finally got my truck painted this past Friday and Saturday. After almost 6 months of getting ready, I got it done. I wanted to thank all the folks that have helped me and stuff on the forum.

I used PPGs Delton DBC and Clear 2021. I almost had a heart attack after they told me the price but I am sticking with the process of using PPG that I had started. Red=$$$$

I am happy with the job. I have some places to touch up as well as some spots I want to cut and buff. So I guess the next steps and questions will be coming about buffing and such. I got some spots where I just could not get the clear to lay down smoothly and then I a couple of runs. It is no big deal, I know how to deal with them.

Thanks so much for the folks here that have helped me with info and advice. God Bless you all and I hope he blesses your home with peace.

I did update my truck website with a couple of pics.

Michael, Came out really nice. Great color! I'm curious as to how you handled painting in the humidity? I also liked the way you transferred the cab to the frame. Pretty slick.Lotsa good help for Dad too. grin

We were blessed with some very low humidity days this past few days. The temp was in the mid 80s so it has been real nice.

Thank you... I had my little girl (8) and my 6 year old son help with the wet sanding and stuff. They did enjoy it a good bit. They are all 3 getting excited about getting to ride in the truck.
