If You go to NAPA or mabe Your FLAPS they can get You a 12 volt motor the same size as Your 6 volt so that would be done I am not sure about heater core I know that places like Jimmy Carter sells them but there are a number of different heaters so You would have to match that up.There are after market under dash heaters if You do not care about stock they look like space heaters but smaller and would have 12 volt motor .

I have a Vintage air heater under my seat that works pretty good. The problem with it is no heat control, its either on full heat or no heat, I use the cowl vent to regulater temperature.

Years ago, we transplanted a heater from a Hiniker tractor cab into an old AD farm truck my Dad had. It wasn't intended to be anything fancy--just a means of getting some warm air into the cab. But if I recall correctly, it was just a small square unit that didn't take up a lot of room. I think we just bolted it up under the dash in the usual spot and ran the heater hoses to it as usual. My brother works for Hiniker, so we were able to get it REAL reasonable!!

Don't know if this is of any help, but just thought I'd throw it out there.

Summitt Racing has a nice metal unit that I put in the '46.It has a three speed blower and is decently priced at around $140. Seems to be a solidly built unit, I've ran it for the last part last winter and it really made driving the old truck a pleasure.

Hey Joe H - get you a cable operated heater shutoff valve and install it in the heater hose. You can control the temp with the amount of flow. It works.
