Its on a '66 250. I'm just trying to increase my gas mileage. If you have any tips or if its a lost cause, let me know.

Make shure the power valve woks up & down & knocks the ball off it,s seat. Make a note of the size of the main jet. It is stamped on the jet but takes better eyeballs than this old man has unless I use a magnafying glass. Make shure the vacuum advance is working & set the timeing about 8 degrees BTDC. If the engine pings on accelleration set it back a little. Turn the idle mixture screw in slowly with engine running till the engine starts slowing down. Than back it out a little to smooth it out. Try all that & if the mileage is still not good enough we can start reading plugs & changing jet sizes.
