For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 33 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 33 | my 65 has the trim down the side. it is in really good shape for its age but however, it does have some dents.. how can i fix them or get them fixed. I would like to keep the trim that is on it..(It is seriously that good). I see the sets offer around going for 500.00(ouch)
And by the way any one ever have this stuff chromed? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 841 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 841 | i personally hate removing or installing that trim. it's just aluminum so it would prob be pretty easy to remove most of the dents once it's off. you can polish it as well. if you have to send it anywhere for work shipping is going to be out of this world because of the lenth. last set i sent off had to go freight so expect some serious $$$$ if you have to pay both ways. | | | | | Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 33 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Sep 2009 Posts: 33 | Amen on the remove have nto done the re install yet but I have been starring at it thinking boy this is going to be fun...probably best to just bite the bullet at some point and pay the 500.00. tht does include the new clips now tht I think about it...
Thanks | | |
