Purchased a '51 3100 this summer. Pretty rough shape at the moment. It had been sitting for quite a while. We (my son and I) got the old 216 running, but only to find we had a burnt exhaust valve on one of the cylinders. Cylinder head's off now with parts on order. Not wanting to get too many $ into this 216. Would like to possibly upgrade to a 235 this winter. It's good to see that you want to keep an old stovebolt six in the old girl. You may also consider getting a 261, same block, a lot of us are quite happy with those engines.
