I needed the higher oil pressure gauge due to my new 56 engine. The Battery gauge does not appear to work it does not move. Do I have to reverse the wires so it accommodates the GMC positive ground? Is it true the GMC is positive ground and the Chevy is negative ground? | | | | | Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 Cruising in the Passing Lane | | Cruising in the Passing Lane Joined: Feb 2002 Posts: 12,029 | 53 GMCs had 'battery gauges'? .... yes GMC's were pos ground, up to 55 I believe, but that doesn't matter to an an ammeter, it'll read backwards if it's hooked up backwards
