What parts do I need to get, if I want to put a powerglide (1956) trans into my 1960 Chevy with a 235 engine. It has a standard trans now. Or this not a good idea. Any other options on trans?

Hy jeeper, you'll need the trans, and adapter for the 6 ,plus the flywheel, and starter. You only have two options for automatics with this series of engine, the powerglide and the hydramatic, I heavily favour the hydramatic. Hope this helps. P.S. you could put on just about any thing if you were willing to go to an aftermarket adapter.

I’m not familiar with the hydramatic, but I will investigate that trans ($) and other types. Thanks
