What is the best rear to use in a 51 1/2 ton to get rid of the torque tube style? The truck is getting a sb v8 and a th350 trans.

I used a 69 camaro rear , it was a bolt in. Also used a 86 Z/28 disc brake rear once but I had to weld on spring perches. Are you going to subframe it?

No, just making a cruiser out of it, the truck is just a shell and i have the engine and trans already so it seems a natural fit.

Any rear beats the torque tube style, for a cruiser. Mine came from a 74 camaro. She's clipped and rides like a slot car.
