I am fixing a 46 chevy shortbox and need a pitman arm and brake drums. I found a frame from a 1951 chevy truck and was wandering if parts(pitman arm, brake drums) from it would fit on my 46 truck. Does anyone know if these parts are interchangeable?

The brakes may interchange outright, but I think 51 might be the first year of the "Bendix" brakes. Your '46 would have "Huck" brakes. You could take the backing plates and hubs and upgrade to the bendix brakes.
