Truck hasn't run for 15 or so years. Got it home, put a battery in, no dash lights when i turned the key, installed a chassis ground to the battery and know i get dash lights and the motor turns over.

I'm not getting any spark at the plugs, center wire on the cap or at the coil wire that goes to the cap.

I put in a new rotor, condenser and points set to .019.

Was not getting any power to the coil with the key on so i pulled the 2 wires from the + side of coil and put a new wire from the starter solenoid to the coil.

Still no spark.

When i check the + side of the coil with a digital multimeter I only 9-10 volts ?

Is this right ?

At this point regardless of what the solution to this problem is I want to install a new engine bay harness, this one is brittle and there are lots of unknown wires in here, scary ;(

Probably for the extra marker lights on the fenders, roof lights, and the dual spot lights....

Thanks for any help!

Mike

See post "no spark" on engine & drive line section.

They say money can't buy happiness. It can buy old Chevy trucks though. Same thing.
