on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 39 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2008 Posts: 39 | Does anyone know where to get this shims, the factory Assembly manual shows them on the front and rear shackle mounts to maintain 1.83" floor to frame on front and .76" floor to frame on rear, the cab mounting kit has two shims for each side of the front one rubber and one metal but it shows a third shim that maybe needed.
I am going nowhere fast and it's not taking me long to get there !!!!

There shouldn't be any rubber at that point, the only rubber in that mount should be the bushings. As far as the shims go all you have to do is use some sheet metal or steel plate with a couple of holes punched in them if you need to add shims. Any hardware now carrys steel strip ranging from a 1/32" up to 1/4" just whack off what you need with a hack saw and drill the holes, no need to beat your self up trying to find a vendor that has them. They would stiff you on the price any way. DG
