they sit in the HOT DRY desert sun and bake just like those airplanes in the mothball fleet http://www.desertusa.com/mag06/apr/airplane.html
>> AMARC is situated near the heart of Tucson, at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base, a boneyard for some 4000 airplanes. Under various names, AMARC has performed its unusual mission since it housed B-29s and C-47s from World War II. These older planes are gone, sold as surplus or scrapped ??????????????
Want to see all the airplanes? Go to google maps and enter "Davis-Monthan Air Force Base" in the search box. Click Satellite view and move to a close-up view to see the parked airplanes. Google Maps <<

funny thing is when you try and buy one they are just like old Buster Brown , an old man about late 80's early 90's age, i met in seguin, tx while scratching a meager living when i was 22yrs old decades ago and chasing tail. my girlfriend's family moved there and i ...
well old Buster had an excelsior motorcycle that needed some TLC
but
would not sell it even though it was stored at the town's auction hall cause nobody wanted it the day he decided to sell. now enter me a couple weeks later ............................. he changed his mind and probably died w/ it there.

GO FIGURE
