Its held down by two roll pin type things that come in from the side. if you push down on the ball and socket type deal and give it about an 18th of a turn counterclockwise it is spring loaded and will pop up..then you just pull it out. youll see how it works when you get it out.

#56048 02/05/2006 4:29 AM | Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 343 Member | | Member Joined: Sep 2003 Posts: 343 | I just found that if you use a rubber mallet and strike the top cap that Fatweed is talking about in a counter clockwise direction, while holding the cap down it will slowly turn enough to pop up. I did not find this out while my tranny was in my truck, so I just dropped the tranny to the ground and laid it on it's side and pulled that sucker out of there. Good luck.
