i just got another 54 chevy standard shift. i want to put a automatice 54 rearend under it to get down the fwy a little faster. do i have to change the whole rear in out or is there a set of gears i can put in to change it that way ? i admit that this is a sedan this time around but it still does change my igorance any and i still could use the help please. thanks any one and all. tedjames

you need to swap the torque tube out of an automatic car.

1950-54 Power Glide 3.5 gears will fit in the stick housing. You will need to use the 3.5 carrier also.
