I made this thing a few years back but haven't had a really good use for it. It works really well for taking out the small hammer marks and wrinkles.

cool, i want to get around to making one one of these days. the dies are prob over half the cost of the new machine. i thought i was the only one who made stuff that i didn't use that much.

I was lucky, it didn't cost me anything... I was working at a machine shop at the time and we made 3 of them. Even sent out the rollers to be case hardened.

I know what you mean, I have a lot of things that I will rarly use.

If you make one plan ahead and design a plannishing hammer and maybe a bead roller to go on the stand. I wish I did... I might modify it to do the bead roller.
