I want to check the ratio, but can't find a drain plug (it's a 10 bolt). There is what looks to be a drain plug on the front left side, but the little cap on the end of it only spins. It almost feels like it's made of plastic. Do I have to pry the cover off to drain this thing, or am I missing something? Thanks for any help.

There's no drain plug mate. Just take out the bottom bolt on the cover and it'll drain ok.

The little plastic cap is probably the breather. I take it its on top of the axle?

The back cover is solid, just with a hump in it, no plug. I haven't opened it up yet to get the ratio stamp, nor have I looked for the casting numbers some guy has listed on a pretty informative Nova site. Thanks for continued help.
