For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Anybody recommend a good place on the lower mainland B.C. to get the pipes bent for a reasonable cost? Had quotes today from $400-$550 for labor and 3 sticks of 2 inch...

They've done a couple of custom fab jobs for me and, while they weren't the cheapest, they took the time to do it my way. 1951 3800 Be the change you want to see. -hotshoe

That's a better price than I was quoted on the island here. All mine were around $900ish. After I was resuscitated, I kept telling them if you don't want to do it, just say so.
I ended up buying some 180 degree mandrel bends, and sawing out the parts of the curves I needed, and then just welding the pipe up with the old gas-axe. I had a great time doing it, and it only took all afternoon.
I would have paid someone to do it, if I could have found a reasonable price. I'll bet I still spent over a hundred on parts.

They were both comparable with Budget being slightly higher. The Midas mech knew what I had and wanted before I told him about the engine. I have a couple more to check out plus a recomendation off the HAMB. Thanks and keep them coming.

Busy place and took 4 hours but an excellent job by Gary and came out with $100 in my jeans then the original estimate. Really changes the sound of the truck and very happy with the effort. Next on the mod list are the dual Carter W1`s after I finish rebuilding them.
