Young and have always loved classic trucks. but i have a problem. i have a 1953 gmc 3/4 ton (will be adding pics soon) and i cant seem to get the headlights to work. everything seems to be wired correctly. the tail lights and the dome light work but not the headlights and dash. any suggestion PLEASE. i am guessing maybe the switch is bad, but wont find out till i recieve it in the mail. | | | | | Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,747 Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) | | Kettle Custodian (pot stirrer) Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 29,747 | Drop the switch out of the dash so you can get to the wires, and use a jumper lead to bypass the headlight circuit. If the headlights still won't come on, the problem is probably at the dimmer switch. That's a pretty common failure on floor-mounted dimmers because they are in a pretty hostile environment under the floorboard. Jerry
