I have degreased, sandblasted, and primed the tranny and I am getting ready to paint it tomorrow night. My question is whether I should or should not paint the mounting flange area where the tranny meets the bell housing. I wondering if I will have problems with assembly and alignment of the tranny with the bell housing if I paint these mounting surfaces. Let me know your thoughts. Thanks.

Although I don't think it would make 1 mil of difference, I would leave it naked...looks more professional, and after all, it is a "mating surface".
