I finally have the last 3 components for this Toyota power steering flip..I've been threatening to make this change for over 5 years and I finally have purchased the last of the parts. I bought the components from Classic Performance Parts and a used steering box(Toyota)from EBAY.

In preping for the installation I asked CPP for some instructions. I received a set of older hand drawn sketches which had the required information. Tonight unexpectantly I received a new tech sheet for this which is super. I remember a number of you asked that I post a journal of pics when I do my installation which I will but in the mean time this should answer many of your curiousities.

Having viewed this Toyota concept for many years I've noticed this system has been a work in progress. The drag link is now adjustable, the pitman hole location has moved etc. By the way,
some have made this swap without moving the pitman hole. I'm not sure what the pro's and cons are.

Here's the instructions with pics:

Have fun,

Keith

Old thread, anyone have the Toyota instructions sitting around. I’m still looking to do this swap. Also zero photos available online of how they mount

Youknow, my first impulse was not on my truck. But then after thinking about how nice a one hand turn around would be I'm kinda liking the concept. So I'm in for any input.

Added in edit; just found this.

And this.

I went electric on mine. No mess no fuss. cut a piece out of the column under the dash and wire it up. No steering box, pump, hoses, mounts or belts. And it has adjustable power settings. I haven't put mine in yet but my friend put one in his 55 vette (same kit) and it is awesome. I'm putting my power adjustment control behind where the throttle goes and using a throttle knob on it.

Mick, do you have a vendor and a part / kit number for this electric application?
