I've been reading up on the 2 water pump conversions, the short pump and the adapter plate with the early pump. I can't find any mention about how much additioal clearance ( in inches) that you can get with these conversions. How much higher does the adapter plate raise the water pump? Thanks

About 2" shorter and raises about 5" putting the water pump back where it should be for the 54 and earlier trucks. the adapter plate works the best letting you buy over the counter water pumps.
