I know this should be simpler than it is for me, but I live quite a ways away from a parts store, so I was hoping I could get someone to look at theirs. Can anyone tell me what size bolts (and grade needed if its important) to mount my 235 (1955/56) to the engine stand?

The bolt's would be the same size as the one's that bolt up the bell housing, only longer.Just measure the length of the stand hold down's,add half inch and you should be good to go,Grade 8 bolt's to be safe.

5/8 in. bolts, coarse thread. The lenght will depend on your stand.

Thanks so much (its a new engine I just brought home so the old one is still in the truck - that's why I didn't know what size.) Thanks again!
