I have recently wired up a new turn signal switch (Signal Stat 900). All lights work fine and the front turn signals work properly, however when i activate the signal no matter left or right both rear signals flash. Any ideas?

I would make sure you have a good ground to each light. Don't rely on mounting bolts as sometimes paint or rust will insulate the light housing.

After a great deal of trial and error the turn signals now work. All it was was a few crossed wires. Now the problem i am having is with the brake circuit in that when i brake both filaments in the tail lamp light, and when the tail lights are on both filaments light not allowing the brake lights to work. Any help would be appreciated.

Grounds. Each light has to have a direct path to ground. If not it will find a path to ground through the other filament in the bulb, up the tail light wire to the other tail light, through both filaments of that bulb. Ground each light housing. Also be sure the bed is grounded to the frame and the frame is grounded.

Did I mention you need good grounds?

Thanks for all the good tips everyone, it took a while but the problem is now resolved. Everything works fine after splicing the white wire coming out of the brake switch with the gray/black from my signal stat 900 and capping the white wire going to both tail lights.
