The carb on my 235 looks like a Rochester B, yet it says Rochester M (which it obviously isn't) on the side of the carb. The number on the mounting flange is 7003536 and there is no tag on it anymore. None of the parts places in town were able to find that number in their books. It looks like the same kit could be used for most B's, but they couldn't guarantee it. For now, I just cleaned it up the best I could, and made new gaskets for it. Can anyone tell me what year this carb might be?

I will double check when I get home, but I am pretty sure it was 7003536. I also found that number cast into the bottom of the bowl followed by another letter/number. Thanks for the help.
