I had to remount the one that came with this truck to correct a belt alignment problem and when I got it back together, It did not work. It had some assist to the right but no assist to the left and it does not make a groaning when turned to the stops. The pump was dry when I bought this truck. Do the steering gears have problems? Also it seems to leak a little bit at the top where the shaft comes in. Are seals availble and is it difficult to reseal? | | | | | Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 . | | . Joined: May 2005 Posts: 8,878 | If the pump was dry and now the front seal leaks and it doesn't seem to work you're probably due for a rebuilt pump. Usually they are reasonably priced.
