I need helping finding rear brake drums and parts for my 47 2spd rear. Does anyone sell parts for these axles? Is there a newer axle that has interchangeable parts maybe?

Hy adfraser, could you give us the truck serial number? Is the axle an electric shift or vacuum shift?

It's the vacuum shift model; when you ask for the serial number are you refering to the the number on the axle? The most visible is 128ONO.
Here's my problem, a previous owner put a different drum on the drivers side. The drive flange has 8 bolts holding the flange to the drum, it looks like any modern day floating axle; the pass. side has the original 5 bolt cover thing. (that's a technical term "thing"). Furthermore the brake shoe adjusters on the drivers side are different from the pass. side. The drivers side not be visible except through the adjustment slots so tenderly cut out of the backing plate with an acetylene torch the the old adjustment nuts where. They both work fine ,but I don't like different. I don't care about them not being original I just want them to be and work the same.

Hy adfraser, I actually meant the serial number of the truck. Are we talking about a Chev or a GMC? Let me summarize you have an eight bolt axle on one side of the truck, and a five bolt axle on the other side, is that correct?

The only legible part of the tag is 210W-I, you can sort of make out the 16,000 GVW. It's a Chevy, title say a 1947 and series 4STK, and yes on the axle summary, pass. side is a 5 bolt, driver is an 8.
