Does anyone know if the hydramatic transmission changed when truck bodies changed in 55.I have a 54 with hydramatic and see a 56 with hydramatic for sale and wondering if I should get it (if it goes cheap enough)just for the transmission. Thanks Murray

First time I saw this truck I said "That's the one!"

Murray,

The 1954 Chevrolet 1/2 ton Hydra-Matic transmission has an enclosed driveshaft.
