Can a 1987 chevy pick-up front suspension be bolted into a 1958 1/2 ton?

Is the track width correct?

Has anyone out there done this?

Thank you,
Zeke

Track width is about right, but the '87 and '58 frames are not very close to the same width. Where on an AD truck the width is only about half an inch off on each side, on the Task Force trucks its quite a bit different.

Yeah, after further research, I've discovered that it's alot of work to do this. I found an article ove r at webrodder that shows this mod and it is not easy to do.

Looks like I'll be saving up for a fatman's m2 unit or staying stock.

I know somebody that spliced a '78 chev front end to a '56 GMC and they said it wasn't easy, lots of work. An maybe a Camaro or volare front end would have been easier.
