For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 1,028 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2005 Posts: 1,028 | I have a 53 3600 with a 216 that has a carter y1 carb. I have rebuilt but it still runs rich.
Can anyone tell me if this carb on ebay will fit my truck. It is a factory rebuilt rochester for a 50's 235. Here is the link. As always any advice is greatly appreciated Thanks Rich

Are there linkage issues? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 Bubba - Curmudgeon | | Bubba - Curmudgeon Joined: Sep 2001 Posts: 29,269 | I think that 216 intake manifold bolts have a different spread (bolt-to-bolt distance) than the spread for 1950 and newer 235s. Wait to see if someone confirms/corrects this. ( Denny has the distances in this recent post) | | |
