i am going to change the bearings at the spindle with the roller bearing kit. do i have to reuse the part (image) and where can i get new ones. my ones are very much worn out.

My personal opinion is that I would use the shield if it will work with the conversion. I am assuming you are changing to disk. This shield will help protect the inner seal. I have installed it in my disk conversion with stock bearings.

When I disassembled my brakes, one of the shields was missing. I got one from one of the guys on the swap meet board that parts out trucks.

Personally, I will run the rollers until or if they need replacing.

I don't think you will be able to use it. The old seal rode on the outside of the outer race, which went against that shield. The new seal must ride on the spindle itself.
