I have an inline 6 in my '49 chevy truck. The engine code is 8994257. I believe this to be a 67-72 250. I bought a new water pump for it, told the parts counter 1970 250 engine. pump bolts in but pulley does not clear the pump by about 1/8". Did they vary between those years?

Casting number appears to be 894258. The number next to the distributor is 1211TGA. Can't find the number in my table. I think it is 292? | | |
