Wow I have work on a lot of my own junk, but I can't find the bellhousing bolts to pull my engine. It is a 49 chevy 3600 with a 216 engine and 4speed trans. I pressure washed the oil away, maybe I can find them when the ground dries. If anyone has a photo of a 4 speed trans bellhousing, please forward them. Thanks Greg

The bellhousing bolts are under your flywheel. You can leave the 4 speed in the truck and pull the engine with bell housing attached. You'll need to pull the radiator & frame. And you'll need a timber or a pipe laying across the floorboard and a tiedown strap to hold the tranny up.

Cletis, you tha man. When you said pull the frame, did you mean the front of the truck (grille area)?
My Dad gave me his 3600 before he past, and I am gradually working on it. I believe it was a comercial truck.

you must take the pressure plate and flywhheel off . There are four bolts, two on each side. Take the little inspection plate off the bellhousing, you will see them .
