Need some help clarifying the best route to getting a windshield installed in my truck. I am eliminating the crank out window on my truck as mice nests had rotted out the pannel under the wiper motor. I fabricated a new one, minus the hinges. My windshield frame is in good shape, and I have the original glass if needed for a template. My question is, if I use the window frame, how do I seal it into the cab without glueing it in. I dread the idea of cracking a windshield someday and not being able to get the glass back out. I've browsed some older forum posts regarding windshields, and came across this Steele Rubber Products. I searched thier online catalog, and came across a "vulcanized windshield channel" for my truck. Is this used instead of the original frame or with it? I assume these are made to crank in and out like the original? Thanks, Mark
