New latches are different from old latches..looks like they'y need to be cut to work. 55-2nd series.

maybe you have an early truck that got left over 1st series bits, the shiney one in your pic is the correct TF latch, the dirty one looks like AD

Could be red..The new ones won't work..oddly the first series and second series list the same striker plates so it should have worked anyway..

I could make it look like the otherone easily..just one good cut with a cutoff tool..just a mystery why.

don't know who you're gettin parts from, but the 55.2-59 striker is not the same as the 52-55.1 .... some places don't specify with 55's, but parts should be listed like "52-55" and "55-59" - and the latch 52-55 - 55-59 .... close, but no cigar

with a 55 2nd you should always check against the 56 listings, not just depend on "55" - same problem with 47 1st and 2nd series

Right I often google 56 not 55..

I looked at the LMC Catalog and the 52-55 striker and 55-59 have the same p/n..I'll double check.

If they had a different striker I'd try that as a solution..otherwise I'll have to alter these. I need to stare at this a few hours
