So I am trying to figure out how to take off the cab, I just climbed out from under there and all of the bolts on bot sides seem like bolt heads. I may have been looking at the wrong thing or something but I have some buddies coming this weekend for a BBQ and to help me lift off the cab, so i want to have it ready for them so we can spend a little time moving it and alot of time with the beer and food.

pull the front clip, then disconnect the steering, shift linkage, pedals, fuel lines, and wiring.

Then remove the two 1/2" diameter front bolts, and the 4 rear shackle mount bolts, then lift.

Wedge some sticks or blocks between the top of the frame rails and the rear cab bottom so it doesn't fall when the bolts come out. There's only 2 front bolts and 2 rear shackles. Don't show them the beer until it's on the dolly.

I also removed the doors and c-clamped a couple of 2x4s (10' I think)to the cab. 1 to the seat mount with the board evenly exteneded out both sides (this to the fwd face at the floor), the other attached at the rear and clamped to the rear door frame on each side. Now, with 4 folks I used these to lift it off of the frame. Then rolled the frame out from under. Next lower the cab onto your waiting dolly which can be made from those inexpensive 4 castor moving dollies (see Harbor Frieght) bolted together with 2x4s. Making a brace that bolts into the door openings (hinge bolts to latch side) is a good preventitive idea against any wracking that can occur.
This is a milestone, have fun.
cheers and good luck,
Terry
