Just quick question-
What's the easiest way to wire up an electric fan on my 64? I want to keep it simple and clean, maybe run off the ignition? I don't think I really want to mess with running it off of a temp switch, I'd feel better if it was on when the truck was running. I'm not sure what wire or part of the factory fuse block to attach it to, so any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
Tony

You need to run it through a relay. You can get a relay kit for fog/running lights, that have the relay, wire, fuse, & a switch with directions. You can hook it to the fuse block or directly in back of the ign. switch & run it through a fuse. Run a 12 gauge wire from the pos. bat cable or junction block to the B term on the relay with a 30 amp fuse in it. Mount the switch on the dash & you can turn it off during cold weather or highway driving.

Thanks, I guess that's a lot simpler than what I was thinking, should take the guess work out of it, right?

Why not leave the automatic stat hooked up and simply install a by -pass switch so you can turn it on when you want and if you forget, you still have the stat as a backup.

I think that sounds like a good idea, too, Whitedog. I got it hooked up, found a wiring kit that had a temp sensor that goes in the radiator between the fins, works well, but I don't want to entirely trust it, so I may just put a switch in as well.

Thanks,
Tony
