Well I took these apart a month ago for cleaning and rebuild but was camera-less. I have no pictures for rebuild refrence. Maybe someone can help me.
There is a spring, that goes into a piston. up inside this piston on top of the spring is a "one way check valve". It is a disk approx 11/8" diameter and has holes on one side and a "nipple" about 3/8" diameter sticking up. Which way does the disc fit in to the piston, nipple up - piston side, and holes spring side? Appears it fits this way but need to know before putting bleeding them with new fluid. I clened them so well there are no tell-tale wear marks to use as an indicator.
Problem is easily seen. If it is in backwards the shock will have pressure, bleed, and dampen on compression of spring instead of the rebound, correct?
Am I correct with holes facing spring, and nipple seating up into piston?
