I have been mounting my bucket type headlights--there is the bulb in the center which has two leads going to it so I assume high and low, then about three inches below center is another bulb--what light is this? For turning maybe--its a clear white bulb though??

Okay, thanks for that doc bob. heck I don't even notice the parking light on my modern car--Are they automatically on at the same time as the headlight--or maybe the first click perhaps. I wouldn't have thought they had them back then. What was the genisis for that?----dave

On my 38 there are three circuits going to the headlight housings: high/low/park. All three are connected @ a junction block under the hood on both sides. The first stop on the light switch powers the park lights, the second the dimmer switch. The high/low are controlled by the dimmer switch.
